Chief Executive Officer
As the CEO for the International Network of Children’s Ministry, Michayla oversees the ministry and provides guidance for initiatives that inspire and equip the children’s ministry leadership community. For almost 15 years, she has had the privilege of serving in children’s and family ministry in various capacities. Her passion is to ensure that all leaders who serve kids and families have what they need to shape the Church of today and tomorrow. She champions the community through her leadership of INCM, writing, speaking, and coaching. Michayla has a Bachelor’s in Psychology with specializations in Christian Counseling and Life Coaching from Liberty University. Her heart for the importance of children’s ministry started at a young age, and she was always involved in all aspects of her church’s children’s ministry. These early experiences solidified a burning passion in her to serve those who serve children and families.
Michayla married her best friend and childhood sweetheart, and they are having a blast raising their two boys! As a family, they enjoy having friends over for meals and games, dancing to songs that play during the credits of movies, throwing confetti around, and anything that involves being outside on an adventure!
Latara is a Bahamian native who has lived in Florida for most of her adult life. She has an MBA with a concentration in leadership from Nova Southeastern University and has been serving in children’s ministry in various volunteer roles since 2002. One of her greatest joys and passion in life is to be used by God to disciple children and youth with the gospel and help others discover their God-given purpose. She is gifted administratively and loves using this gift to bring clarity, continuity, and simplicity to processes and programming.
Latara deems being a mom to her two kids as her greatest gift in life. She absolutely loves traveling, trying new ethnic foods, reading, meeting people from various walks of life, and having great conversations with friends.
Chief Financial Officer
David, a Chicago native, worked alongside his father for many years as a partner in his father’s accounting firm. Faced with the challenge to keep his two tech-savvy boys engaged in regular family devotional time, he founded SproutBox (sproutboxkids.com) a company that creates Bible-centered products that incorporate technology to help facilitate a fun and interactive experience. He currently resides in Chicago, with his wife, Myung, and 3 children –Justin, Brandon, and Leah.
Media and Communications Director
Zac serves as the Media and Communications Director for INCM. Zac loves hearing, sharing and creating stories that impact the world for good, and he does this best through the art of video. He loves serving the kid min community, and believes communication is a powerful tool to encourage, support, and further the mission of church ministry.
Zac and his beautiful wife, Stephanie, love life with their two children. They enjoy exploring the great outdoors, but also to cozy up for a family movie night. They are also heavily involved in their church where Zac serves as a Shepherd and leads the church production team.
Jason serves INCM by developing and managing the websites and systems. God has given him incredible opportunities to work in the corporate financial industry then build his own company serving Christian nonprofits.
Jason has served in the local church through children’s ministry, youth ministry, and anywhere else that’s needed. He has also coached middle school boys basketball, and enjoys staying active with sports and outdoor activities.
Yanet serves as the Resource Manager for INCM. Her ministry life started 13 years ago when she started in Children’s Ministry alongside her children. She was called into full-time ministry and served as a volunteer Children’s Ministry Director for 6 years prior to her start here at INCM. Her knack for business shines, having run 2 small businesses herself. Her understanding of Ministry and Business allows her to serve our Resource Providers with great passion. Her heart is to resource the kidmin community with the best that’s out there.
Yanet is a fun loving, passionate friend and is often referred to as the gal who loves LipStick, but her favorite titles are “partner in crime” to her husband of 15 years and Mom to her four amazing kids.
Mahogany serves as the Training Manager for INCM. She is passionate about seeing children’s ministry leaders get connected to all that they need to serve kids and families. She comes to INCM from serving for almost 7 years as a full-time Children’s Pastor at New Life in Christ Church in O’Fallon, IL. She is also a graduate of Bethel Seminary where she earned a Master of Arts in Children’s and Family Ministry.
Mahogany actively listens to the children’s ministry community’s needs and questions, and loves to serve them with a joyful and prayerful spirit. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her husband, enjoy a good cup of coffee, or even better… enjoy a good cup of coffee with great friends!
Community Development Manager
Joy Goodwin serves as the Community Development Manager for INCM. She started ministering to kids when she was 9 years old, working alongside her mom. Joy has a M.Div from Bethel Seminary and spent 5 years leading families in full-time ministry. She has a passion for growing and encouraging leaders in the church and walking with them as they follow God.
She lives in Minnesota with her wonderful husband, curious son, and 4 wandering chickens. Her fridge is stocked with lemonade just in case you want to stop by for a visit.
Marketing & Advertising Specialist
Ivana currently serves as the INCM Marketing & Advertising Specialist. As a child she felt like she was introduced to God as only a rule maker, but wasn’t taught that she could have a personal relationship with Jesus. Once saved, Ivana wanted to help children learn that God loved them so much more than the rules they followed. She wanted to teach children the Word of God in a way they could understand.
After working in Television News for a year, Ivana left her dreams of broadcasting to pursue her passion for discipling children. She wanted to take her digital marketing skills and use them to help spread the Gospel. She has served in children’s ministry both professionally and as a volunteer for almost 10 years now.
Ivana and her husband, Luis, have three children ages 4 and under. They just moved back to the suburbs from the city and are settling their busy family of five in Pingree Grove, IL aka “Where is that?” Ivana enjoys writing and creating content on her social media pages for fun.
In addition to her duties at INCM, Kelly serves as Director of Children’s Ministry at her church. Kelly is a native of California where she was blessed to grow up in a Christian family. She became a believer at the age of 5 and was baptized at the age of 8. She holds a Bachelor degree in Liberal Studies with a teaching credential in K-12 education.
She and her husband, Mike, have three adult children and a son-in-law. Kelly is passionate for children to come to know and love Jesus as their Savior. She considers it a privilege to support parents as they raise their children to walk with God, and a privilege to care for children’s ministry at large through INCM.
Volunteer Program Specialist
Nikki Palmers serves as the Volunteer Program Specialist – ensuring that our volunteer team for CPC and INCM is developed, trained, and cared for well each year.
Nikki also currently serves as the Director of the Kingdom Culture Children’s Ministry at The KAC. She has served in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years and is also the 3rd-6th grade teacher there. Nikki is a published author and playwright; she uses her love of words and gift of creative writing to bring the word of God to people in interactive, profound ways. As a spoken word artist, she has traveled to several states as a mouthpiece for God ever ready to share God’s love and speak God’s truth. Her heart also resides in International Ministry and Mission fields. She has contributed many teachings and seminars through INCM and has been a Missionary to Haiti through the KAC’s Apostolic Go Ministry. Nikki received her certification in Early Childhood Assistant Teaching in 2010 and is currently working on a degree in Elementary Education from Harper College.
