STEVE ADAMS
Executive Director
Steve Adams has served as a pastor in the local church for over 33 years. For 13 years, Steve served as the Executive Pastor of Children’s Ministry at Saddleback Church providing leadership to dynamic teams of staff and volunteers who minister to kids and families across California, Germany, the Philippines, Argentina, and China. He was also a member of the Saddleback Global Executive Team which gives leadership to all Saddleback Campuses across the world. Steve is married to his high school sweetheart Stephanie and has two sons, Tyler and Matthew, two daughter-in-law’s, Jessie and Faith, and two grandchildren Avery and Dakota.
DAVID KIM
Chief Financial Officer
David, a Chicago native, worked alongside his father for many years as a partner in his father’s accounting firm. Faced with the challenge to keep his two tech-savvy boys engaged in regular family devotional time, he founded SproutBox (sproutboxkids.com) a company that creates Bible-centered products that incorporate technology to help facilitate a fun and interactive experience. He currently resides in Chicago, with his wife, Myung, and three children, Justin, Brandon, and Leah.
YANET COOMBES
Resource Director
Yanet started as a volunteer and has continued to serve INCM as the Resource Manager. Her dedication to Children’s Ministry started 18 years ago when she was called to serve in her local church. As a former Ministry Director herself, she has found great joy in continuing the work INCM does to serve this community. Her lively spirit is enhanced by her business savvy and love for equipping those to the things they need. This drives her ability to connect the community to the best Resources available.
Yanet loves to laugh and encourages those around her to see the joy in everything. Through Children’s Ministry she has developed a love of learning and will often figure out how to build, cook, or create things she is interested in. She is fiercely devoted to all aspects of her life which include her husband of 20 years, her four children, and the many animals that live in her home.
LIZA GANT
Equipping Director
Liza Gant has more than 20 years of experience in Next Generation ministries. She spent the majority of her full-time ministry in the development and implementation of the children’s discipleship pathway at the local and global campuses of Saddleback Valley Community Church. Her ministry career also included oversight of family mission trips, leadership of the Purpose Driven Children’s Ministry Conference, and creation of Saddleback Parents to partner with parents in raising lifelong interdependent followers of Jesus. In addition to her ministry career, Liza is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of California.
The greatest roles that Liza carries are as wife to Jeremy for more than 16 years and mom to 4 active children ranging in age from junior high to elementary school. They love to spend time together as a family out on the soccer and softball fields, traveling on mission trips, and playing with their 3 dogs.
JOY GOODWIN
Community Director
Joy started ministering to kids when she was nine years old, working alongside her children’s ministry veteran mom. Joy has an M.Div from Bethel Seminary and spent five years leading families in full-time ministry before joining the INCM team. She is honored to develop and resource children’s ministry leaders who she believes are the most innovative and resourceful leaders of the church.
Joy lives in Minnesota with her wonderful husband and two joyful sons. You can find her hiking Minnesota’s state parks, in her regular kickboxing class, or visiting the closest farmer’s market.
BRAD WAGGONER
Resource Logistics Specialist
Brad is a dedicated individual with a remarkable 14 years of Ministry Experience, currently serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at his local church in Northern Florida. He also has served as a faith volunteer with INCM and has volunteered on the CPC team numerous times. Brad’s meticulous attention to detail and exceptional logistical skills are reflected in his outstanding service on the resource team. However, his most important role is as a foster dad, where he selflessly provides a loving and nurturing environment for children in need.
When he’s not busy with his various commitments, Brad indulges in his passion for coffee and food, often experimenting with new recipes as a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast and foodie.
KATIE CUMMINS
Social Media Specialist
As a pastor’s kid, Katie Cummins saw the good and the bad in this thing we call “church,” and in the midst of it all, discovered her passion: partnering with families. Believing it’s a sin to bore a kid, Katie’s purpose is creating FUN experiences for kids to discover hope in Christ! Katie leads as the Next Gen Director at Church of Hope, a YouVersion Kids Bible Experience Content Creator, and INCM Social Media Specialist.
DEANNA PEACOCK
Volunteer Coordinator
Deanna is first a follower of Jesus, then a wife, mother, Children’s minister, perpetual student of God’s Word, leadership coach, and teacher. Deanna has been in children’s ministry since she was 8 years old leading her first backyard Bible Club with a friend, Deanna has grown a passion for leading with a clear vision of legacy in ministry. Deanna believes Jesus and glitter are essentials for life!
Deanna has worked at a church for over 10 years as a children’s minister. In this setting, she has led kid’s ministry through a mobile church era, building project, relaunch, and the changes COVID-19 brought into the church. She has navigated volunteer relationships, church decline followed by growth, launching of a weekday preschool among other things.
Deanna is currently pursuing her Master’s in Counseling, specializing in Marriage and Family. She and her husband, John, have a blended family with an emerging adult daughter, a teenage son, and a preteen son.
JASON MCVEY
Web Specialist
Jason serves INCM by developing and managing the websites and systems. God has given him incredible opportunities to work in the corporate financial industry then build his own company serving Christian nonprofits.
Jason has served in the local church through children’s ministry, youth ministry, and anywhere else that’s needed. He has also coached middle school boys basketball, and enjoys staying active with sports and outdoor activities.
SARAH ABLES
Registration Specialist
Sarah is excited to get to use her skills of organization and administration as the Registration Specialist for CPC. She is an INCM Certified Leadership Coach, Breakout Speaker, and passionate supporter of those who serve in Children’s Ministries. She has been serving in her local church for 13 years in a variety of staff and volunteer positions, and is convinced that VBS is the best week of the year!
Outside of ministry, she works full time as a Project Manager in the Financial Industry, specializing in Operational Excellence and Business Change Management. She lives in Ohio with her husband of 20 years, their teenage son, and a combination of cats, dogs and chickens. She enjoys doing puzzles, playing board games, exploring new hiking trails, and singing loudly to musicals.
ANGIE HOOIE
Customer Care Specialist
Angie has been married to her husband, David, for 25 years, and is mom to Marty, Alicia, and Ian. In September of 2023, she became a “Gigi” to Davina, her first grandchild. She grew up in the church and started volunteering in Kids Ministry over 20 years ago. She was called into vocational ministry 13 years ago. Angie was the Global Kids Ministry Pastor at Two Rivers Church. She oversaw three campuses, a staff of 4 part-time employees, and 250 volunteers. One of the joys of her role was building up leadership teams and watching the teams soar in their giftings.
Angie has grown in her leadership skills through the courses she has taken from INCM such as Engage Children’s Ministry Certification, Engage Pastoral Care Certification, and Coaching Certification. She believes there is no more crucial ministry than introducing Jesus to the next generation and helping them grow in their faith!
