As an association for the global children’s ministry leadership community, the International Network of Children’s Ministry now offers members any-time access to what they need to accomplish their mission.
SCHAUMBURG, IL (October 14, 2020) –
Even though COVID-19 has forced communities to distance themselves from one another this year, INCM has been undeterred in its mission to connect children’s ministry leaders to what they need to champion the discipleship of kids and families. On October 14th, membership is now broadly available to leaders around the world offering them constant access to dynamic training, curated resources, and fellow leaders through the custom-designed membership portal, myINCM.
INCM’s Executive Director, Michayla White, shares, “Children’s ministry leaders are responsible for the most futuristic and strategic ministry of the Church. This biblically mandated ministry has high stakes, and its leaders often feel stuck or disconnected from the training, resources, and people they need. This leads to high rates of burnout, stagnation, and turnover in leadership. We don’t believe any children’s ministry leader should be undeveloped, under-resourced, or isolated in ministry … with membership to INCM, children’s ministry leaders will be connected to what they need to flourish and lead thriving ministries that shape the future of the Church.”
When a leader becomes a member of INCM, they gain access to the training, trusted resources, and network of leaders that it has to offer through the myINCM portal. This portal gives leaders a trustworthy, comprehensive, and uncluttered environment for their development, for their ministry’s growth, and for the expansion of their network. In addition to the timely online events, certification courses, webinars, and curated resources that INCM is known for, members access exclusive development experiences like Community Conversations – a monthly dialogue of INCM members that focuses on moving children’s ministry forward through meaningful and productive conversations. INCM Leadership Coaching – a unique group coaching experience that helps children’s ministry leaders get unstuck and advance – is also a benefit exclusively offered to members.

INCM has existed for 40 years to connect the children’s ministry community to what they need to champion the discipleship of kids and families. As an international association for the children’s ministry community, it began with a small group of children’s ministry leaders in Colorado who recognized their need for one another, for training, and for resources as they carved out what it looked like for the discipleship of children to be prioritized in their communities. From there, the network has grown to a global community that celebrates and shares generously with one another in the magnificent things we have in common – a deep love for the Lord, the Gospel, His Word, and shepherding kids to know, love, and follow Jesus. “Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so; Little ones to him belong, They are weak, but he is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me ….”
How many times have we sung this song? And yet, I wonder today, do you know that Jesus loves you?
Don’t brush past this.
Sit for a minute with this question – Do I know that Jesus loves me?
I’m not talking about what you do for him. I’m not talking about the way you show up faithfully over and over again. I’m not talking about the sermon you wrote, or the snacks you bought, or the sporting events you attended. I’m not talking about hospital visits or meal trains. I’m not talking about Vacation Bible School, Fall Festivals, or Christmas plays.
When my daughter Eliza landed unexpectedly in the NICU the day after she was born, I felt as though the floor had dropped out from underneath me. I was overwhelmed, crippled by fear and exhaustion. We had not planned for a five-week hospital stay, and we had not planned for the rare chromosomal diagnosis we received when we were there: Prader-Willi syndrome. Before her first birthday, Eliza was hospitalized seven times, undergoing two surgeries, and coming home from various stays with supplemental oxygen and a feeding tube.
