What are Breakouts?
For those of you who are new to CPC, Breakouts are 50-minute learning sessions designed to help you grow as a leader.
They cover every topic children’s ministry leaders want and need to learn.
From leadership to administration, storytelling to discipleship, engaging with parents and adults to outreach, and everything in between, Breakouts offer comprehensive training for leaders to grow in their knowledge while at CPC.
They happen each morning and afternoon.
Whether you’re just starting out in ministry and are at CPC for the first time or you’re a veteran leader returning to CPC to be with your people, Breakouts offer you a wide variety of support for every stage of leadership.
What do you gain from Breakouts?
When you attend Breakouts at CPC23, you get a new perspective to help you shape the way you think about ministry.
Breakouts give you the opportunity to learn facts, data, and or practical information that will grow your knowledge base of best practices of children’s ministry.
AND Breakouts will help you grow in competency in your leadership skills.

Our Breakouts Team worked hard to make your experience the best it can be.
So instead of just registering for catchy titles or topics you *think* you need to learn, there are two resources that will give you information on all the Breakouts so you can make a plan that works for you.
Before I share those with you, this year we’re introducing “Paths.”
Paths are designed to help you have a rich experience.
Instead of being overwhelmed by doing a “choose your own adventure,” the Breakouts Team has curated different paths for you to get the most out of your learning.
There are 3 different types of paths to choose from.
1. Mini-Course Path
If you want to go home from CPC having a deep dive learning experience with a cohort and a certificate of completion in a specific area of competency for children’s ministry leadership, then the Mini-Course Path is for you.
These paths include New to Children’s Ministry, Pastoral Care of Parents and Families, Seasoned Leaders, and Ministry Administration.
2. Category Path
If you want to go home from CPC having focused on a path of learning in a key category for the majority of your experience yielding a better overall grasp of that category, then the Category Path is for you.
These paths cover topics such as leadership, volunteers, ministry administration and approach, discipleship, parents and families, and outreach.
3. Create-Your-Own Path
If you want to go home from CPC having learned a wide variety of ideas, tools, and practical steps in distinct areas you identify as needs for your ministry right now regardless of category, then the Create-Your-Own Path is for you.

How do I sign up for Breakouts?
To register for all the Breakouts at CPC23 you are interested in attending, make sure you have a ticket to CPC23.
Only registered ticket holders are able to sign up for Breakouts.
If you’ve already purchased your ticket, look for an email that was sent on September 14th.
In it, you’ll be able to access the event online and sign up for your favorite Breakouts.
You don’t want to miss your chance to save your spot.
