There’s a few people in my life that I can point to and say, “That one. They show me what Jesus looks like. I want more of their disciple-ness to rub off on mine. Any time I’m with them, I’ll listen and watch as closely as I can because they reflect Him. They have been in His presence.”
Beth Guckenberger is one of those people for me. So, when I found out she was writing a new book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and soak in the words God had given her.
In Start With Amen, Beth unpacks the joy and the meaning of responding to God with amen. She shows how the phrase is more than just a way to punctuate a conversation with God. It is a declaration of Who He is, and who we are in relation to Him.
If you have ever read Beth’s other books, or if you have heard her speak, then you know Beth is a gifted story teller. She has a unique way of unpacking the deep truths of Scripture in a way that helps you truly connect with what God is saying.
Friends, this book is transforming how I pray.
As Matt and I have both been going through the book, we truly felt God compelling us to share this journey with YOU. So here is the invitation:
We are going to start an online book club, and Beth is going to also join for the journey! You can jump in with us by going over to the official private Facebook Group for the book club. It will be a great place for all of us to connect, share what we are learning, and hear from Beth!
We will begin connecting there and sharing posts from Beth. The book is available for pre-order now, and will release May 9! You can go here to secure your copy. After May 9th, we’ll start working our way through Start With Amen together! Every couple of weeks, we’ll jump on Facebook Live with Beth to talk through what we are learning together.
We are doing a webinar next week with Beth to learn more about how we can learn to surrender by keeping the end in mind. Join us next Wednesday, 4/12, for a free webinar with Beth from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CST. (Can’t view it live? Don’t worry! Everyone who registers gets the link to the replay!)
If you’re looking for something that will deepen your prayer life and discipleship journey, and you want to be a part of a community pursuing that together, then I hope you will join us!
