“I just discovered you all on Instagram, and it’s my first year of ministry. It’s been such a steep learning curve for me- wasn’t expecting that. But I’m so thankful that I found you all – what is the best way I can get connected?”
When this leader contacted me last week, it made me smile from ear to ear. There are so many times I get that question – what is the best way to get connected? It’s a great joy for me to get to share with you that we have made that ability to connect with the network easier than ever with the launch of our reimagined INCM website!
Over a year ago, we began the process of deconstructing our website and inviting the perspective of the community to shape the way we rebuilt incm.org. It has been a labor of love to create a space where you can come to get the training, resources, and community connections that you need to do what God has called you to do!
Here are some ways you can rediscover incm.org:
- When you land on the home page, as you scroll you will immediately notice some of the key ways INCM supports you in your ministry to kids and families. This will help you get familiar with the overview of what we provide in training, resources, and community for the children’s ministry community.
- From there, I recommend that you navigate to and scroll through the Training, Resources, and Community pages… We have everything from free resource downloads to 8-week courses, and a lot in between.
- As you go through the pages, pay attention to items that stand out to you and make a list. Maybe you’ll see a resource for an area in your ministry that needs support, or training that directly relates to questions that you recently got from one of your volunteers.
- Lastly, review your list and choose at least one item to take action on immediately. It’s not uncommon to get overwhelmed with the variety of options, but don’t let that happen! Choose an item that will directly help your ministry, and start in on it right away.
The new site may have just launched, but this is only the beginning, friends! Visit regularly to get more resources, get connected to new leaders and new training opportunities, and stay up to date with the latest coming from the children’s and family ministry community.
Our prayer is that you are served well through this new site, that you are connected to what you need in helpful ways, and that together we will be faithfully obedient in shaping the future of the Church!
If you have had a chance to review the site, we would love to hear from you! Take two minutes to fill out this quick survey!
