I love Advent. Advent was part of my church tradition from the time I was a child. The lighting of the candles each Sunday, especially the final candle lit at the Christmas Eve service became my favorite Christmas tradition. As a father, I wanted this tradition to soak into how our family would celebrate Christmas. As a pastor, I wanted to give parents and families a chance to redeem the celebration, to instill moments of pause, reflection, devotion, and anticipation into the tradition.
This all turned into The Advent Book.
I know many of you are looking for an Advent devotional for your church family. Last year, I was in the same boat along with a bunch of other kidmin. So we banded together to write a devotional that established a weekly rhythm for families and we distributed that devotional to over 20,000 people.
