KidLead is an active-learning, executive caliber, leadership training curriculum for 10-13 year olds, focusing on the 10-25% with the strongest leadership aptitude. These are the kids who God has wired to lead at a higher level, who need to be identified and developed while they're moldable. The faith-based version is for churches and Christian schools. There is also a character-based format that churches can also use in public schools and for outreach. The curriculum consists of 4 modules, each with 8 ninety-minute sessions, plus 3-hours of parent training, & requires a 1-day certification to use. This is the most concentrated young leader training program available anywhere and can be used as an after school, evening and summer camp training.
The founder, Alan E. Nelson, is a leadership development specialist with a doctorate (EdD) in leadership from the University of San Diego. He was a pastor for 20 years (www.alanenelson.com), but after a decade of training pastors and church leaders, realized that the best hope was to identify and develop leaders while they're moldable, not moldy. Dr. Nelson is the author of "KidLead: Growing Great Leaders" and designed the first leadership aptitude assessment that is free and online at the KidLead website (www.kidlead.com).
