Title: Creative Teaching
Presenters: Eric Hamp and John Tasch
Description: Join us for an exciting and motivational learning experience. We will demonstrate and educate in this workshop on how to make each experience with your children memorable and powerful. Creativity is defined as the power to create, to bring into existence something new or to produce with imaginative skill. We want to unlock the creativity that God has placed in each of you to energize your worship, teaching and activities. This hands-on Fast Track will have you on the edge of your seat and send you home with hundreds of new and fresh ideas. You will experience a live Children’s Church service, learn keys to leading children into worship, get object lessons from things around the house, and learn how to add games and activities that teach God’s word.
Title: The P.O.L.E. Position: 4 Keys to Position Your Ministry to WIN!
Presenters: Ryan Frank and Brian Dollar
Description: Ministry can sometimes feel like a NASCAR race! You are moving at high speeds, avoiding obstacles and racing toward the “finish line.” Our hope is to make it “Victory Lane” and hear the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” But, there is more than the “Sprint Cup” at stake – we are “racing” for the souls of God’s children. It is important that we not allow ourselves to be distracted and end up getting the dreaded “black flag.” In this hands-on Fast Track, you will discover the importance of four important keys that every children’s minister must possess if they want to position themselves to win the race: People, Organization, Leadership, Energy!
Title: Spiritual Formation in Our Children and Families
Presenters: Michelle Anthony
Description: Imagine a generation that knows God’s voice, desires to obey it and is doing so in the power of the Holy Spirit. If forming faith is what we’re about then what happens on the weekend is not the end goal. How do we engage with families so that we are equipping them to flex their faith muscles while exploring the biblical principles found in God’s design to pass faith down from generation to generation? The traditional approach to teaching assumes that we learn differently in the classroom than we do in real life. In actuality, the soul learns differently than the mind. Why is this and how can we teach God’s Word in such a way that lives are transformed and God’s amazing story is replicated in those we teach?
