Points of Light

What is Point of Light?

Point of Light – Can be seen in the darkness hundreds of miles away. The closer you get the brighter it appears, until, when you are near, it lights your way, keeps you safe, warms your heart and makes everything, especially the way, more clearly seen. This is the chosen path, calling and design of the “Point of Light” for INCM.

Who they are…
Point of Light will be a person who is deeply involved in the ministry of children in some form. Children’s Pastor, Publishing, Ministry director, or other forms that directly relates to the training of children’s ministry personnel or ministering to children.

They will see themselves as a leader in the field, have a focus and calling outside of their personal/corporate ministry and see/feel the need to help others in their geographic region become the best they possibly can be as it pertains to ministering to children.

They are passionate about the need to provide and improve ministry to children as the most important ministry of the Church. They are willing to spend time each week towards that end assisting others to do the same in their chosen/assigned geographic regions.

What they do…
They will host a minimum of four (4) regional network meetings which will be designed to encourage, support, resource, train and network children’s ministry personnel with each other.

They will host at least once a year either a spring or fall children's ministry training, (this could serve as one of their network meetings).

They will build relationships with as many children’s pastors, (hopefully with all of them to some extent in their region) as possible. Praying for them, and just letting them know they are not alone in children’s ministry.

They will encourage the Children’s ministry leaders in their region to attend CPC each year.

They will be the most important asset and ministry partner to INCM, with many benefits from INCM given back to them throughout each year.
