We have seen our share of geese in abundance having lived in Michigan, a state known for wildlife. However, this was like no sight we had ever experienced. A black ribbon of geese spanned the horizon from east to west as they flew for miles across our northern route to DIA. Just when we thought we had seen the last flock, several others would fill the sky. We were certain these birds were being monitored by the FAA control tower at the airport. There were small v-shaped formations of geese and formations made of larger flocks. Some of the geese were flying tightly. On occasion there was a lone goose lagging behind or flying in the opposite direction. I felt sorry for the loners.
Perhaps you too see the connection with ministry that I saw. Whether you are in a small tight denominational group or mega-sized flock, there is value in banding with other children’s ministry leaders. Children’s Pastors Conference (CPC) is the place where thousands of children’s ministry leaders have the opportunity to be lifted up and energized. At CPC we recognize our massive potential as we meet together. Your strength and influence is multiplied at CPC. If you have never attended Children’s Pastors Conference, or if it has been a while since you were with us, I encourage you to “soar with us” this winter. Capture the networking vision of learning and sharing together.
It is not too late to register! You will experience the joy of connecting with hundreds of leaders. Many children’s ministry leaders say that their life was changed at CPC. You will be inspired by the General Session speakers and the workshop leaders. The array of resource providers is expansive. We are not tethered to one kind of curriculum or one programming style. This makes CPC a colorful conference… the conference you never want to miss. I hope to see you there!
